Why I Write Executive Bios & Profiles

With a long history of communications writing in and for business, I enjoy doing nothing more than writing an executive’s bio or profile. The bio is a snapshot of the person behind the position, the value h/she/they offer behind the company tagline and the vision behind the product or service. I like to dig, like an archeologist, to get to the gems and hidden nooks and crannies of their story, you know, the real story, not the plastic one churned out by drone-like copywriters in a cubicle. I discover what makes the executive attractive to their investors, customers, vendors, and also themselves.

A meticulously crafted executive bio or profile is crucial for any business leader aiming to attract customers and build a positive corporate image. Even if you run an SME of less than ten people and are about to launch a product, an executive bio or profile draws customers to you. Here are several compelling reasons why having a top-notch executive bio is essential:
